Product Overview
The JSG18-C is a compact reversible DC liquid pump for waste-liquid drainage, cleaning-fluid transfer, and intermittent air-liquid handling in IVD analyzers and other medical diagnostic equipment. It can continue transferring when air enters the tubing, making it suitable for drainage processes in which liquid and air appear alternately near the end of a cycle.
The JSG18-C series includes:
JSG18-C01 → 12 V DC liquid pump
JSG18-C02 → 24 V DC liquid pump
The JSG18-C is intended for OEM integration and sample evaluation. OEM engineers must confirm compatibility with IVD wastewater, cleaning liquids, disinfectants, and other media according to liquid composition, concentration, temperature, wetted materials, filtration, and duty cycle before mass production.
Core Selling Points of This 12 V 24 V DC Liquid Pump
1. Air-Liquid Transfer in Medical Waste Lines
Waste lines in IVD analyzers may contain alternating liquid and air near the end of a drainage cycle. The JSG18-C can transfer both air and compatible liquids, helping the system continue draining when air enters the tubing.
2. Reversible Flow for Drainage and Flushing
Reversing the motor polarity changes the flow direction, supporting waste-liquid removal, tubing flushing, and liquid return during equipment cleaning or maintenance cycles.
3. RCheck-Valve-Free Structure for Reduced Blockage Risk
The check-valve-free elastic compression structure reduces one common blockage point found in conventional pump designs. The pump is not designed for solids handling. Use an inlet filter of 100 mesh or finer when hard, sharp, or metallic particles may be present.
4. Compact and Low-Noise Medical Equipment Integration
The 74 × 54 × 41 mm pump body fits inside compact benchtop analyzers. A specified noise level of ≤38 dB helps reduce the pump’s impact on the overall operating noise of medical and laboratory equipment.
5. 12 V and 24 V Versions for OEM Systems
Choose the JSG18-C01 for 12 V equipment and the JSG18-C02 for 24 V equipment. Both versions provide the same published hydraulic performance, dimensions, noise specification, and rated power; their rated voltage and running current differ.

Published data is based on clean water at 20 °C, 65% RH and no external load. Actual performance may vary by approximately ±10%. The 8.5 m suction value and 20 m liquid head are maximum published values, not guaranteed operating points under actual flow. Please verify the required working point with a sample.
How Does This Reversible DC Liquid Pump Perform Under Performance Curves?
The JSG18-C performance curves show that liquid flow decreases as vacuum or outlet pressure increases. At zero external load, the pump can provide up to 400 mL/min free liquid flow. As suction resistance increases toward the maximum vacuum endpoint of −85 kPa, the available flow decreases.

What Are the Dimensions and Installation Details?
The JSG18-C measures 74 × 54 × 41 mm and uses 6.3 mm OD inlet and outlet ports. Soft tubing with a 4 or 5 mm ID is recommended to reduce vibration and noise, and it should be secured with cable ties or metal clamps under higher resistance. Confirm the flow direction from the pump-cover marking before connection. The pump can be installed horizontally, vertically, upside down, or on its side according to the equipment layout and drainage requirements.

What Applications Is This IVD Waste Liquid Pump Suitable For?
1. IVD Analyzer Waste-Liquid Drainage
The JSG18-C supports waste-liquid collection, reaction-chamber drainage, and wastewater transfer in IVD analyzers. Its air-liquid transfer capability helps maintain drainage when air enters the line near the end of a cycle.
2. Cleaning and Rinse-Liquid Transfer
How Do I Choose the Right Version of This DC Liquid Pump?
1. Choose Between the 12 V and 24 V Versions
Select JSG18-C01 for equipment with a 12 V DC power supply and JSG18-C02 for equipment with a 24 V DC power supply. The datasheet lists running currents of 0.4 A and 0.2 A respectively. The model should not be selected solely by comparing current values.
2. Choose JSG18-C02 for Lower Running Current
JSG18-C01 runs at approximately 0.4 A, while JSG18-C02 runs at approximately 0.2 A. Both models have the same Rated Power of 4.8 W.
3. Do Not Choose by Fluid Performance
Both models provide the same flow, vacuum, liquid head, noise, dimensions, and weight. Voltage and running current are the main differences.
Real Project Cases Using This DC Liquid Pump
1. Typical Application Example: IVD Analyzer Waste-Liquid Drainage
A compact IVD analyzer required a pump to discharge cleaning liquid and reaction waste from multiple fluid lines. The customer needed strong self-priming, intermittent air-liquid transfer, reversible flow, and compact installation. Air entering the tubing, small contaminants, long tubing, and filter resistance were the main integration challenges. The system used a JSG18-C01 for its 12 V power supply, together with 4–5 mm ID soft tubing, secure hose connections, and an inlet filter. After integration, the pump provided stable waste-liquid drainage and reliable reversible flow within the analyzer’s limited installation space.
2. Typical Application Example: Cleaning Robot Wastewater Transfer
A laboratory medical analyzer project used the 12 V JSG18-C01 reversible DC liquid pump for waste-liquid drainage and reverse flushing. The pump has a rated current of 0.4 A, rated power of 4.8 W, up to 400 mL/min free liquid flow, −85 kPa maximum vacuum, and 20 m maximum liquid head. Its compact 74 × 54 × 41 mm body, 6.3 mm OD ports, and specified noise level of ≤38 dB supported integration into the analyzer’s limited internal space. During equipment testing, the JSG18-C01 discharged waste liquid steadily, and the control system reversed the motor polarity to flush the fluid line in the opposite direction during cleaning and maintenance. These maximum published values are not simultaneous working points, so actual flow, tubing resistance, liquid compatibility, filtration, duty cycle, and service life must be verified in each medical analyzer system.
